Do some of your best ideas come while on the can? Check out iPoo, a new iPhone app. It’s a new “online community for poopers, so they can chat with each other.” My boys will love this one.

My kids keep asking, “When’s it going to snow again?” They want another ANOTHER day off from school. Taft Price (one of our meteorologists) told me we could get more snow on Monday. Maybe six inches. All depends on whether the south winds blow the cold air to the north. Sorry kids, hope you have school Monday.

Super Bowl is Sunday. Who knew? I came across some deals... pizza, restaurants, online shopping... on Sunday. I’ll share them tonight at 6pm. If you can’t tune in, here’s where you can find some of the super deals.

I was always taught, you make a mistake, admit it, say you’re sorry, be contrite, and people will forgive you and move on. Apparently Mel Gibson never learned that life lesson (following his DUI arrest and anti-semitic remarks). Check out two recent interviews (here and here) to promote his new movie “Edge of Darkness”. Looks like Mad Mel has lost it.

That’s all.

As a consumer reporter I'm always giving advice (actually advice from the experts) on how to spend and save money. I was filling out the FAFSA (federal aid for college) tonight. Talk about confusing. No wonder the government is, and always has been, a mess. I didn't get any aid last year, and won't again this year. The middle-class gets hosed. Sorry. That's my rant for the day.

Does teaching abstinence to kids work? Apparently, according to a study. Washington Post reports: “Only about a third of sixth- and seventh-graders who completed an abstinence-focused program started having sex within the next two years, researchers found. Nearly half of the students who attended other classes, including ones that combined information about abstinence and contraception, became sexually active.
The findings are the first clear evidence that an abstinence program could work.”

Had a great time at the annual “Taste of Tulsa" last Saturday night. It's Big Brothers and Sisters' black-tie fundraiser auction. I've emceed it going on nearly ten years now. It's always one of my favorite events of the year to emcee or host. We didn't know really how many would show up because of the snow/ice storm, but between 700-800 were there. My son Jacob and three of his friends crashed the event and stuffed themselves.

Today Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, meaning six more weeks of winter. How accurate is the groundhog? Apparently, not very. He's been right only 39 percent of the time in the past 100+ years. But it's tough forecasting the weather six weeks out. Just ask any meteorologist.

That’s all.

The drive into work this morning wasn't too bad. Some ice and sleet... the snow coming down right now. Ironically the song that was playing when I turned on the radio this morning was “Toes (in the water)" by the Zac Brown Band. Oh how I wish I could do that right now.

Send us your ice/snow pictures on Facebook. Just join the group "I Survived The Oklahoma 2010 Ice Storm".

Dog rescued from floating ice in Baltic Sea. No, Michael Vick wasn’t the rescuer, but a lot of people wish he was the one stuck on the ice, and not the dog.

I'm a little BEHIND. So I'll leave you with this parting shot.

That's all.

BIG storm headed our way! That's what our meteorologists are saying. Snow AND ice. I know what you're thinking. "Oh no, not again".
Hey, we feel the same way at the station. The Christmas Eve blizzard was brutal (I got stuck on the interstate for a couple hours after work that night). But that ice storm in December 2007 was much worse. Most of us lost power at home for days, some for weeks. We won't know until Thursday who gets most of the snow and who gets that dreaded ice. Or both. Stay tuned.

Hopefully the weather won't affect an annual worthy cause. This Saturday is Big Brothers and Sisters' Taste of Tulsa black-tie fundraiser at the Renaissance Hotel. I've emceed the event for nearly ten years now. It's one of the best around. Michelle has been on the auction committee for years (she works harder at it than me, but don't tell her..... I think she already knows that).

Woman on "Price is Right" game show passed out after learning she had a chance of winning a car. Plop! Fell backwards on the spot. She got up and won the car.

Unfortunately, my youngest son didn't win anything for smacking into a tree while snowboarding recently in Colorado. That's using your head Tommy. By the way, he was wearing a helmet. Thank goodness.

That's all.

Many people, of course, wanted John McCain to become president. But if he had, imagine the uproar this latest news wouldv'e caused, especially among conservatives. His wife, Cindy McCain, has just become the poster child for same-sex marriages.

It's official... Conan O'Brien is joining the unemployed. He's losing his job on the "Tonight Show". But don't feel sorry for him. His severance deal with NBC? $32,000,000. That's $32 million. Kind of hard for the rest of us to relate to isn't it?

I'm no TV critic but..... I read recently somewhere from a real critic that FOX's new show "Human Target" was the next "24". That got my attention since "24" IMHO is one of the best shows ever. So I watched "Target" last night. Not even close. Poorly written. No suspense. Bad. IMHO. Another example that critics may be paid off by networks and movie industry.

Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!! If that's your baby crying, would you know what he/she wanted? Iphone has an app that interprets a baby's cry. Give me a break. Hang on... my dog won't shut up... BARK, BARK... What's he want? Now if I can only find my Iphone.

That's all.
