WHAT MAKES ME TICK!
For nearly 30 years I’ve told stories ... news stories on TV. I crave a good tale, and much of the time, they’re so unbelievable, it’s impossible to make up something that good.
Although I anchor two newscasts (voted “Best Television Anchor” in Tulsa), I’m also a consumer reporter. I like helping you save money. That’s even more important in this tough economy.
That’s my job (which I can’t believe I get paid to do), but what I love to do is go skiing in Colorado or California, get on my mountain bike and ride, swim laps in my pool, and get out my Nikon and snap pictures. I love photography. But above all, I love to spend time with my wife and 3 teenage boys.
Look for me speaking at schools, emceeing a Big Brothers and Sisters fundraiser, or encouraging kids to read more. Oh, and by the way, look for me every night on the news telling a good story. There you go, now you know what makes me tick.
Whether politics, crime, the economy, human interest or the latest scam, you name it and I’ve probably covered it.
My career has taken me from going on huge pot raids in Oregon, the Branch Davidian standoff in Texas, Northridge earthquake in California, hurricanes and floods, and interviewing some of the top entertainers in Las Vegas. A little bit of everything.
I got into the biz because I love to know what’s going on. I think I’ve gotten my money’s worth.
My life is full of so many great experiences. From time to time I’ll share them with you. And from my viewpoint at the anchor desk I see and hear quite a bit. Occasionally I’ll share some of my thoughts about the news. Check MY BLOG to see what’s new.
